A friend of mine sent me the link of this video, thanks for it souki :)
well, this is the first time i see an interview of the prince hicham, so it's quit intresting to hear him speak up, and express his point of view in aljazeera abt the polical life in Morocco and the arab world , but that would hav been better if the interview was with Aljazeera arabic, cause few Moroccans can understand english, but maybe this program was more addressed to non Moroccans to introduce the political life in the arab word in gereral and Morocco more specifically.
Prince hicham isn't against the monarchy cause he is a part of it but he claims a modern monarchy, a constitution reform, and a more serious democratic process in Morocco, these, a lot of moroccans r longing for.
He said sth i completely agree with, A lot of positive things, reforms are happening in Morocco, but THIS IS NOT ENOUGH, We R ON a CROSS ROADS...Ohh yes!!! but the biggest prob i think is that people hav lost hope in any reform, We don't believe in their promesses, we don't have faith in the election system and in our institutions...i personally, didn't vote, and a lot of people i know didn't go to vote!!!
OK, yeahhh!!!.... some people would say, generations fought for right to vote and u jus don't care and blablabla like this....well, maybe, but, in our case to vote for who??? WE DON'T HAVE REAL PARTIES IN MOROCCO, even the PJD is jus like others, as we say in Moroccan "baa lmatch" means he sold the game and becomes a part of it....besides his islamic background as it was said in the video is problematic in the eyes of many people....
I truely believe as the prince said many times, we need real reforms, we r sick of the same speeches, 80% of the population didn't vote, it's a clear message to the power, and i hope they get it..the last riot in sefrou ( a moroccan city) is a clear sign that population is fed up with their economical and social conditions...it's normal, a lot of pressure leads to violence , so it's in the intrest of the monarchy to open up more and establish constitutional reforms but for that a lot of courage is needed, the question is, DO THEY HAVE IT??
it's a good video, so don't hesitate to click and watch it, and of course, let me know what u think...:))
