Before creating this blog i have watched the videos i'm posting here, now that i have my little planet:), i'de like to share this great interview with all of u...it's jus amazing, so, what is it about????...
It's an interview with the palestinian American literary theorist, writer n philosopher Edward Said on his famous controversial book "Orientalism", but more, in these videos, this amazing arab thinker talks about his thoughts, ideas in general which makes it even more enthralling...
i've heard before about this great thinker on newspapers but hav never had the chance to read one of his books which is a real pity, sure once i have the opportunity i won't hesitate...unfortunately, a lot of people in the arab world don't know much abt Edwar Said which is sad...
Well, in these videos, he talks about stereotypes, how arabs and muslims r picturized in the west media, which maybe has nothing to do with the real normal arab muslim person...Edward Said gives a fresh intresting analyse, it makes u think and questione what is exposed to u in medias and books ..DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING U WATCH N READ ,EVERYTHING IS QUESTIONABLE...
Ok, Ok, i think i said a lot here, so i'll better not kill ur suspense, well, these videos will take some of ur precious times...but believe me it's WORTH IT:))
